Shipping Policy

Valley Scales offers free shipping to most locations in Canada on all purchases weighing 25kg / 55lbs or less. 

Delivery

All scales sold by Valley Scales are verified and calibrated by a qualified technician prior to shipment. Smaller scales will generally ship in 3 to 5 business days. Heavy capacity, component and customs scales are assembled, tested, and calibrated in our service center and will generally ship in 5 to 10 days. Current traceable calibration certificates are available on all scales ordered.

Expedited shipping  

Expedited processing and shipping are available at a fee on most orders. For expedited processing please email a request to services@valleyscales.ca at the time of order. Confirmation of service and a quote for expedited shipping and processing charges will follow.

Shipping charges 

Orders with a shipping weight above 25 kg remain free for most Ontario and Quebec locations. Small carrier or LTL surcharges may apply on shipments to remote locations. If applicable, these will appear at checkout prior to your confirming your purchase. 

A shipping charge may apply to scales weighing above 25 kg shipped to Manitoba or west and to the Maritime provinces. If applicable, charges would be listed in your cart prior to checkout.  

Shipments above 80 lbs are generally shipped with LTL carriers on small to medium size pallets and may require forklift or shipping dock facilities upon delivery. 

Damages 

All scales sold by Valley Scales are verified and tested by a qualified technician prior to shipment. We ask that you inspect your instruments upon receipt to assure it is delivered free of damage and in good working order.
 
Any damage incurred in transit must be reported within 5 days of receipt of your purchase. Damage claims must be filed in writing by email to services@valleyscales.ca or in writing by registered mail to:

A return merchandise authorization number (RMA) with return shipping instructions will normally be sent to you within 3 business days.

Damaged goods must be returned unused with all original packaging, accessories and documentation. 

Do not return product without an RMA.  Any shipment received at our facilities without an RMA may be refused by Valley Scales, at the sender's risk and peril.  

Upon receipt, Valley Scales will inspect the damaged instrument and arrange for an immediate repair or replacement of the ordered product. 

All shipping fees on validated damage claims will be paid by Valley Scales.

Valley Scales reserves the right to inspect returned instruments upon receipt and validate the damage claim. Unfounded claims may, at Valley Scales discretion, be reshipped or treated as a standard return subject to re-stocking fees as stated in our returned merchandise policy.
